Mefenamic Capsule 500mg is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. It's used for short-term relief of mild to moderate pain, including menstrual cramps.
Indications:
- Painful and inflammatory conditions
- Relief of mild to moderate pain, including:
- Headache
- Dental pain
- Post-operative and postpartum pain
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis pain
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults and children over 14 years: Initial dose of 500mg, followed by 250mg every 6 hours as needed.
- Maximum duration of treatment: 1 week.
- Take with food or 8-12 ounces of water to avoid gastrointestinal effects.
