Mefenamic Suspension 50mg/5ml is a liquid medication containing the active ingredient mefenamic acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It's used to relieve mild to moderate pain, including menstrual cramps, headaches, and pain from conditions like arthritis.
Indications:
- Painful and inflammatory conditions
- Relief of mild to moderate pain, including:
- Headache
- Dental pain
- Post-operative and post-partum pain
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis pain
- Menstrual cramps
Dosage and Administration:
- Children under 12 years old: Dosage is determined by weight and age, typically 25mg/kg of body weight per day, divided into doses. The maximum duration of treatment is 7 days.
- Take with or after food to minimize stomach upset.
